Ingredients: Puff pastry (yeast-free), Sugar + for sprinkling dough, Butter (softened), Egg, Yolk, Apples, Walnuts (or others), Hibiscus (dried petals), Powdered sugar
Cooking method:
We roll out the first layer of dough into a square of about 30 x 30 cm (we select the size according to the shape). Using a template or shape, cut out a heart from the dough.
Roll out the second layer of dough. Sprinkle it with a thin layer of sugar. We cut the rolled dough in half, and cut each half into transverse strips about 1.5 cm wide.
Slightly pressing down, we pass our fingers along each strip on one side. We turn the strips into rolls, forming roses, turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, put the heart from the dough on it. Along the edge of the heart tart, we vertically install rose rolls, forming a side. If the roses turned out to be different in height, it's okay - they can be slightly trimmed from below, so they will become even more stable. And pre-lubricate the base-heart with protein, so the roses will be more stable. We prick the tart with a fork and send it to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
Hibiscus is placed in a saucepan, pour 1 liter of water and put on heat. Let the water boil. Cut the apples in half, remove the cores and cut into thin slices. We filter the hibiscus. We return the liquid to the saucepan and dip the apple slices into it. Boil apples for 5 minutes over low heat. Cool the painted apples in a strainer.
Remove the half-finished tart from the oven and let it cool completely. Combine soft butter and sugar. Whisk the cream for 5 minutes. Whisk the egg and yolk in a separate bowl. Using a blender, grind the nuts into crumbs. Add beaten eggs and chopped nuts to the buttercream. Whisk the cream again. Evenly apply the resulting cream on the tart.
Lay the slices of apples overlapping towards you, forming strips of 4-5 slices. We turn the strips of apples, forming roses.
We lay the apple roses on the cream close to each other, evenly filling the entire surface of the tart with them. We send the tart to a preheated oven and bake for another 20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
Let the finished tart cool completely, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Happy tea...
