✅👌 For some reason, I'm sure that there is rarely a person who can refuse a piece of homemade, freshly baked fragrant pie!

I, like any housewife, have at least a dozen recipes for making various pies that I have tested. I cook almost every day.

And today I want to invite you to cook a very tasty pie with egg and cabbage filling.

It’s not a shame to meet guests with such a pie: a delicious cabbage pie

✨Maybe you already have a recipe for such a pie in your piggy bank, but still I hope there are many housewives for whom my recipe will be new!🥰

📕Ingredients for cooking:🥙

For test:
Milk - 300 ml
Dry yeast - 1.5 tsp. l.
Chicken egg - 1 pc. (1 more egg for greasing the pie)
Sugar - 2 hours l.
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
Butter - 50 g
Wheat flour - 650-700 g
Salt - 1 tsp. l.
For filling:
White cabbage - 700 g
Onion - 1 pc.
Chicken eggs (boiled) - 3-4 pcs.
Vegetable oil - 3-4 tbsp. l.
Salt, ground black pepper - to taste

👨🏻‍🍳Let's start cooking...⤵️⤵️⤵️

We take any small bowl, pour dry yeast, sugar into it.

Pour in 300 ml of warm milk, stir and leave for a while so that the yeast starts to "work".

In the meantime, we take a much larger bowl - this is for the main dough kneading, break a chicken egg into it, put a spoonful of salt and rub it with a whisk.

Pour the already prepared yeast mixture, vegetable oil, mix.

Sift the flour and start kneading the dough.

When the dough starts to come together, add softened butter and continue to knead.

The finished dough should be soft, elastic and absolutely not sticky. We roll into a ball, cover the bowl with a towel and leave for about an hour and a half to rise.

In the meantime, let's start preparing the filling. Cut the onion head into half rings.

Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan, lay the chopped onion and fry until golden.

While the onion is fried, chop the cabbage into thin strips.

And when the onion is reddened, put the chopped cabbage into the pan. Stir, fry for about 3 minutes, about 50 ml of water, cover and simmer until tender. From time to time, the contents of the pan must be stirred; at the end of cooking, the cabbage can be lightly salted.

When the cabbage is ready, transfer from the pan to a bowl and cool.

Then we rub the pre-cooked chicken eggs on a coarse grater, add black ground pepper, salt to taste.

Stir, taste, if something is missing, add and the filling is ready!

At this point, the dough will have risen well!

We shift it to the work surface of the table, lightly sprinkled with flour. Divide the dough into two equal parts.

We roll one part into a rectangular layer (although you can make a round cake), 0.6-0.8 cm thick, transfer it to a baking sheet of a suitable size, make small sides of 2 cm.

We put the prepared filling and distribute it in an even layer.

The second part of the dough is rolled out in the same way as the first piece, and then cut into strips, 2 cm wide.

We spread the strips of dough on top of the filling, at a small distance from each other.

We cut off the excess hanging parts, assemble and roll them out again.

Then again cut into similar strips and spread on the cake already across the previous strips, while lifting through one strip and making a pattern in the form of a lattice. We collect the edges of the pie and pinch tightly.

Cover the pie with a cotton towel for 15 minutes, let it rest, then brush with beaten egg.

And we send it to bake in the oven, heated to 180 ° for about 30 minutes.

After half an hour, we take the cake out of the oven, let it cool a little, cut it and serve it to the table!
