How to "save" the salted herring. My way of working

Sometimes it happens that bought the salted herring (or make your own). And what do you do in that case? Offer to "save" a herring, and not abandon it! So today I will share with you the ways that allow you to withdraw excess salt. I have two.

method one

Suitable only for the fish, which is too salty, but not too much. So, herring cut into fillets, cut into pieces, put in a jar or container and add to it 1-2 onions, cut into half rings. Fill with oil, stir and put them in the refrigerator. The next day herring will become less salty.

Luke does not regret. It was he who absorbs the excess salt. If you taste it, it will be too salty. But I repeat, this option is not for heavily salted herring.

method two

But if the herring just very salty, it is necessary to soak. I am very skeptical about the advice to soak the fish in milk or sweet tea leaves. I do not venture to use these methods.

In such cases, I soaked herring in the water. The fish is eviscerated, cut off the tail and head, make a small incision on the back. The skin should not be removed!

Fill herring cold boiled water for 1 hr. Then change water and soaked for 1-2 hours depending on how salted fish. Fish, of course, salted has not come out, but there it is quite possible. More than two hours, do not need to be soaked, otherwise the fish will not have such a delicious, will begin to fall apart.

After soaking it to cut into fillets and mix with onions and oil - as in the first method described above. Herring will give the bow a little more salt.
