So, we need 2 mackerel. The fish is eviscerated, cut off the tail, head and fins, and remove the black film from the abdomen to the fish does not taste bitter. All this is easier to do when the fish are not yet fully thawed.
Wash fish, remove excess moisture with a paper towel and cut into pieces of mackerel thickness of about 2-2.5 cm. By the way, cut into pieces, too convenient, if a little frozen fish - so they turn out smooth and neat.
Now pour into some bowl of salt (about 3-4 tablespoons) and each piece rolled in salt on all sides, like so:
Then add up the mackerel in a plate or bowl, cover with another plate on top or some cover and reserve directly on the table at room temperature for 2 hours.
IMPORTANT! We keep the fish in the salt exactly 2 hours, no more, so it's best just exactly measure the time or even the alarm clock to put in order not to miss the moment. Because, if the fish will lie down for 2 hours and even extra 15-20 minutes, it can get salty!
Now wash the pieces with cold water and add up in a bowl, shifting its layers of an onion. Optionally, you can add ground black pepper, herbs.
Pour a little vegetable oil and you can already try. But I recommend everyone else put into the refrigerator for 30 minutes - then mackerel soaked in oil, onion flavor and will be even tastier. Bon appetit, my dear!
