Pilaf with mushrooms. Recipe for Lent

We continue to publish recipes for meatless dishes. Today we have in the menu a delicious pilaf with mushrooms. In addition, the dish is very hearty and inexpensive part of the money.

Ingredients:

rice - 300 gr
mushrooms (I have mushrooms) - 350 g
Onion - 1 pc
Carrots - 1 pc
Garlic - 3-4 cloves
tomato - 1 piece
salt, spices to taste
vegetable oil
greens

On a heated pan with vegetable oil ship shredded mushrooms plates. Add the onions, carrots, salt and fry 7 minutes all together.

Then add the chopped tomato. It is quite possible to replace the tomato paste or tomato juice. Pour half a cup of water, add the garlic and all the spices, which I enjoy. I usually add turmeric, it gives a delicious pilaf yellow. Simmer 5 minutes.

Now lay the washed rice. I like to use for long-grain rice pilaf. Pour hot water. Water should be enough to make it above the rice by 1 cm. Close the lid preparing 3 minutes at maximum heat.

Then we diminish the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes until cooked rice. Serve the risotto with mushrooms, sprinkle with fresh herbs. Bon appetit, my dear friends!
