Caesar salad is one of my favorites. I just love it! As you know, preparing a salad with croutons of white bread.
You can buy them ready-made in almost any large store. But I prefer to cook them yourself - it is so delicious! I told him as I do.
I cooked croutons of various types of bread: white in a loaf, baguette, ciabatta. In the end, I came to the conclusion that for the Caesar salad is best to take the most ordinary loaf.
I cut the loaf into cubes about the size of 1.5-2 cm. Spread cubes on a dry baking sheet, sprinkle with a little black pepper, paprika sometimes even a little sprinkle.
I put in a preheated oven at 180 ° C and dried. We need to stick the cubes to dry completely. Sometimes inside they do not fully dried and then the salad does not crackle. Therefore, we try crackers or taste or pierce with a toothpick to understand, they are ready or not.
It is possible to dry the crackers on a plate on a dry frying pan. Fire average. Crackers periodically turn over, so they browned evenly. In turn the oven is not necessary.
