Pea soup with smoked products and homemade croutons

Pea soup is cooked in meat broth from fresh pork, veal, poultry, but the most delicious and popular pea soup with smoked products. Smoked give the soup savory and delicious taste! Cook pea soup in my recipe. Bon Appetit everyone!

Ingredients:
Peas, 1 cup (200 ml)
Potatoes 3 pc
Carrot 1 pc
Onion 1 pc
Smoked chicken legs 400g
2 liters of water
Salt 1 tbsp
Black pepper peas 5 pcs
Bay leaf 2 pieces
Vegetable oil 6 tbsp
Baton to 0.5 pcs crackers
Dry seasoning Provence herbs as desired for the preparation of crackers

At the beginning of cooking pea soup peas pour cold water on top of 1 or 1.5 to leave for 3 hours for swelling, peas increase in volume.

Take a pan of 3,5 liters. Get enough sleep swollen peas, cover with cold water, put on the heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes. When the water begins to boil, skim appears, it must be removed.

In the meantime, until cooked peas, carrots cut into half rings, and on a little fry in vegetable oil. Carrots give the soup a nice color and flavor.

Raw potatoes cut into small pieces.

Pea boiled soft starts and after 30-40 minutes, add a pan with peas whole onion, fried carrots and potatoes, as well as salt and black pepper peas. Simmer another 40 minutes.

Take the chicken leg cut into pieces a la carte or with a bone separate from the bone. Add to the soup and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.

At the end of cooking, add the bay leaf and let it brew. Pea soup is ready! Serve the pea soup with homemade croutons and herbs.

How to prepare crunches?

Take a loaf, white or rye bread to your liking. Cut into squares 1h1sm, put on the laid baking parchment paper in a single layer, drizzle with vegetable oil and optionally add olive grass.
