Beer bread recipe with walnuts
This is my first bread in a cast iron pan, and probably not the last.
I would recommend this method of baking, because the bread was fantastic.
Crispy, golden crust, not too hard. The flesh is very tasty and beautiful. Very nice crunchy nuts. I believe that this bread will constantly go into your menu.
This is a very simple bread without yeast, and yeast - like a cat laugh.
What do you need for Beer bread recipe
- 60 ml of dark beer
- 270 ml buttermilk (low fat cream)
- 210 ml water
- 600 g wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 g of fresh yeast (or pinches dried)
- 100 g walnuts, chopped.
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well with a spoon.
Cover the bowl and leave for 12-18 hours.
After this time, put the dough in the basket or colander, previously covered with a cloth and floured. Let stand for about an hour.
Take cast iron pan put in a cold oven, then heat up to 240 degrees Celsius. Allow it to stand for 30 minutes in a hot oven for 30 minutes.
Remove the lid from the pan, place the dough, cover and bake for 30 minutes.
After this time, remove the lid and bake for another 15-30 minutes WITHOUT cover. Crust should be crispy and brown.
After baking, place bread on a metal grate and leave to cool.
