Stew with gravy and mashed potatoes

Let us remember childhood! Delicious, hearty, flavorful and such familiar dishes from the garden!

Ingredients:

0.5 kg of beef
onion
carrot
1 tbsp. l. flour
1 h. l. tomato paste
1 tbsp. l. sour cream
salt to taste
Bay leaf

2-3 pea allspice
water
vegetable oil
potatoes
butter
milk

Preparation:

1. Beef cut into small pieces. Better to take the softest part of the meat, without veins and films. Cut the beef into cubes or strips - are thinner, so it is faster to cook.

Fry meat in a skillet with vegetable oil.

2. Cubes cut onions.
Carrots grate.

Roots lay in the pan to the meat and continue to simmer all together. ⠀

3. Pour 1 tbsp. Water (hot) to the pan when the meat and vegetables are slightly softened.

4. If the liquid is boiling over - pour a little hot water.

For 10 minutes until cooked add salt to taste, add the bay leaf and allspice.
Depending on the meat, the cooking time may vary. This is usually not more than 30-40 minutes.

5. Prepare the gravy: tomato paste dissolved in 0.5 cups of warm water, add sour cream.


Flour mix with a pinch of salt and the mixture was introduced into tomato. Interfere with a fork to avoid lumps.

6. Stir the meat, pour the gravy.

Simmer another 5-10 minutes. Done!

7. Prepare mashed potatoes: potato peel, pour the cold water and boil in salted water until fully cooked. Drain the liquid, but leave a little on the bottom.

Mash the potatoes into a puree, pour in the warm milk and add a knob of butter.
Dosolit to taste.

Now everything is ready, which means - you can apply!
