Revani is a recipe for Turkish Manica. My 4-year-old godson loves when I cook it at a party.
In this recipe, we will prepare a stunningly moist and juicy manna of the recipe that gave me the mistress of the Istanbul hotel, where we rested recently. There he served for breakfast, but I like to serve it instead of the snack. The recipe is very simple, so that the cook will not be difficult.
A method for preparing Manica
1. First, prepare the syrup. To do this, we send all the ingredients in a saucepan and send the fire. After boiling downgrade fire to low and cook for 10 minutes. Then let the syrup cool completely.
2. Proceed to test for Manica. Egg whisk with sugar to foam and fluffy mass bleaching (5-7 minutes with a hand mixer).
3. Continuing to whisk add in several stages yogurt, then pour the vegetable oil.
4. Adding lemon zest, semolina, flour, baking powder and stir until homogenous (about 1-2 minutes with a mixer).
5. Form of grease with vegetable oil and send bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 40 minutes, until golden brown.
If your oven is baking too much, and after 20 minutes manna from above covered with a golden crust, must be covered with foil shape.
6. Giving 15 minutes to cool. Do not blame the form of manna chop and pour on top with sugar syrup.
If you do not like that manna was swimming in syrup, use half.
7. Harvesting in the refrigerator and leave to cool down completely (at least 2 hours).
In Turkey, sprinkle with coconut flakes or flour of pistachio nuts (you can just finely chop with a knife).
The recipe is incredibly similar to our manna, but has the texture and taste. I recommend to try to cook it, you must succeed.
