Curly soup - an undeservedly forgotten recipe since the times of the USSR

You probably also remember this simple soup. It was often prepared by our mothers and grandmothers. By the way, they called him “curly”, then “curly”.
There really were curls or curls in the soup, since a beaten egg is added to it, which in the hot broth disperses in wavy flakes - "curls".

In Soviet times, almost all children ate this soup with pleasure.
Let's go back to the origins and remember the undeservedly forgotten recipe

Ingredients:

2 pieces of chicken (about 500 gr.)
4 potatoes
carrot
onion
a handful of fine vermicelli
2 eggs
salt
peppercorns
Bay leaf
vegetable oil

Preparation:

1. Rinse the chicken, add 2.5 liters of water and put on medium heat. After boiling, reduce, add bay leaf and peppercorns. Simmer the chicken over medium heat for about 30 minutes.

2. To wash, peel and prepare the vegetables: cut the onion into cubes, grate the carrots, chop the potatoes into cubes or slices.

3. Fry the onions and carrots in vegetable oil until soft.

4. Remove the finished chicken from the broth and set aside. And put potatoes and vegetable frying in a saucepan with broth. Boil and start cooking the soup.

5-7 minutes after the potatoes, send the noodles to the soup.

5. Separate the chicken meat from the bones, cut into pieces and also put in the soup. Salt to taste.

6. When the soup is almost ready (15 minutes after laying the potatoes), beat the eggs in a separate bowl with a fork.

Take a spoon and stir the soup in a saucepan in a circle, thus creating a "funnel" or vortex.

7. Slowly pour the whipped egg mixture into the boiling soup in a trickle directly into the center of the whirlpool. Once there, the eggs quickly turn into funny "curls".

8. Keep the soup on the fire for another 1-2 minutes and remove.
When serving, add herbs to plates.
