Turmeric: a great spice for our immunity and skin beauty

What do you know about turmeric? This is an amazing and very useful product. But first things first.

The unique plant turmeric or turmeric is a perennial herb from the ginger family, native to Indochina.

This spice has been known for over 2,500 years. She first came to Europe at the beginning of the first century AD. It was popular in Greece, where it was called yellow ginger.

Turmeric is now often called yellow root, gurgemey, zarchava or haldi.

Interestingly, at first, turmeric was not used for food, it was used exclusively for religious rituals or as a dye.

Turmeric has been known for its anti-inflammatory (pain relieving) and anti-microbial properties for a long time.

It contains healthy essential oils such as turmerone, zingeberin, cineole and p-cymene.

A couple of pinches a day of ground turmeric can provide enough nutrients for prevention of anemia, neuritis, memory impairment, infectious diseases, high blood pressure and stroke.

How to use turmeric to boost immunity?

1. Add to hot dishes:

  • scrambled eggs
  • soups
  • fried and stewed vegetables (especially good with potatoes or cabbage)
  • rice
  • lentils
  • fish and seafood
  • pastries

2. Prepare drinks - tea, juices, milkshakes, milk and compotes.

3. Use with desserts - sprinkle on ice cream, marshmallows, marmalade, etc.

Important!
A mixture of turmeric and aloe juice is an excellent anti-inflammatory and disinfectant.

Turmeric for beauty

If you mix turmeric with some products, you can get a universal or local remedy for youthful and fresh skin.

Rejuvenating Turmeric Mask - perfectly tones and tightens flabby skin, as a result of which the face acquires a youthful glow.
How to cook:
1 tbsp. l. warm milk + 1 tbsp. l. turmeric + 1 tbsp. l. liquid honey = apply on face for 15 minutes - rinse with water and wipe with a cotton pad dipped in kefir.

Turmeric nourishing mask - when applied regularly, it will help smooth out wrinkles, tighten contours and increase skin elasticity.
How to cook:
0.5 tsp l. turmeric powder + 0.5 tsp. l. freshly squeezed lemon juice 0.5 tsp l. cosmetic oil (almond, apricot, grape, etc.) = 10 minutes - then rinse.
