Home-style Tula gingerbread: the easiest way to make a treat yourself

It turns out a very tasty and aromatic gingerbread, almost like a real Tula one.

Ingredients:

3-3.5 cups flour
2 tbsp. l. honey
100 g butter
0.5 cups milk
1 hour l. baking soda
egg
0.5 tsp l. ground cinnamon
0.5 tsp l. ground nutmeg
1 cup of sugar
jam or boiled condensed milk for the filling

Glaze:

4 tbsp. l. Sahara
2 tbsp. l. milk

Preparation:

1. Separate the egg white from the yolk. Beat the whites with sugar, and leave the yolk for later.
Pour in warm milk and stir well.

2. Melt the butter and steam the honey. Mix butter with honey and spices. Pour in soda.
Pour the mixture into the whipped egg white and milk.

3. Sift flour and lead into liquid portion. Knead the honey aromatic dough. Then divide into two even halves.

4. Roll one part of the dough on parchment or cling film into a thin layer.

This is to easily transfer the dough to the baking sheet. The recipe specifies jam or boiled condensed milk, this will be the next step - applying the filling to the rolled dough.

5. Roll out the second part of the dough as well and carefully transfer it to a baking sheet, cover the first half with the filling. Remove paper.

6. Now the gingerbread needs to be edged, as if pressing the dough along the edges. Coat the gingerbread on top with whipped yolk and draw the pattern over the surface with a regular fork.

7. Bake Tula homemade gingerbread at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. Cover the finished baked goods with glaze.

8. The gingerbread should be greased with milk glaze directly from the oven, while still hot.

How to make the frosting: Pour 2 tbsp. l. milk, add 1 tbsp. l. sugar, while stirring, heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. After dissolving the first spoon - add the second... and so all four.

Immediately cover the gingerbread with hot liquid icing.
