It would be correct to call it preparation. If you spend a couple of hours on such preparation-preparation-cooking on a weekend, then for a long time you will have something to eat in your refrigerator or freezer.
Even a teenager can handle such blanks. Checked!
First you need to buy groceries. On weekends, 1-2 times a month, we make purchases: we spend half a day visiting all the stores with promotions and inexpensive prices.
These are "Magnet", "Pyaterochka", "Globus" and "Lenta" - vegetables, chicken, minced meat, milk, fruits.
We also have "Europe" - there pink salmon at 140-150 r / kg and other fish at very affordable prices.
So, I keep some of these products as they are - fish carcasses, chicken thighs / drumsticks / wings, potatoes, cabbage, apples, etc.
But still, I turn most of our purchases into semi-finished dishes. No, they are not cooked. These are blanks for cooking that the child can handle.
For example, mine can cook a soup for himself from such a "bag" or bake a piece of fish / chicken with tomato and cheese in the microwave.
What you need besides products:
foil
disposable trays and forms
tight bags
cling film
Further preparation of products. Everything needs to be washed, peeled and cut. If the dish is planned to be made with a side dish, then it must also be prepared.
For example, rinse rice and other cereals thoroughly, soak beans, etc.
Important! I do not recommend harvesting potatoes this way. It darkens when frozen and the taste of ice cream is peculiar.
Many children refuse to eat such sweet potatoes.
Cut the chicken into portions. The shins and wings will go to the second. By the way, you can immediately marinate chicken parts in sour cream with garlic and hop-suneli. Or whatever you like.
And then wrap it in a bag and put it in the freezer. Then we take it straight out of the bag into the frying pan. If in foil, then you can put it in the oven on a baking sheet.
From minced meat I make cutlets or "hedgehogs". For chops, a completely budgetary chicken breast from a poultry carcass is suitable. We beat it off in advance, season with spices.
If there is pork, then we also divide it into parts: with a bone in soups and stews, the pulp separately. We cut the latter into cubes or strips and into a separate bag - into goulash or azu. Or mix with vegetables - for a stew, bake.
Can be sliced and beaten off, seasoned with pepper and salt. Then put in foil, on top of onion rings, mayonnaise or sour cream. Portions or a roasting sleeve.
Then they took out such a package and into the hot oven, and after 30-40 minutes - the finished dish while we go about our business.
But I really liked these forms. And less dishes to wash. You can sprinkle it on top with cheese or pour in a beaten egg ...
Fish on the same principle. We gut the carcasses, cut them up. Head and tail on the ear. And the pulp on fillets, minced meat (cutlets) or portions. Salt, pepper, grated lemon.
I put a piece of fish (steak / fillet) in disposable forms or foil boats, onion, tomato, cheese on top. Or mushrooms instead of tomatoes. You can pour cream.
In the freezer, such blanks are stored for up to 6 months. There is something to eat at any time.
Ideas:
- fish steaks or fillets + onion + mushrooms (tomato) + cheese
- fish + rice + vegetables
- chicken drumsticks + rice + vegetables
- chicken breast + cheese (onion + tomato)
- chicken chop with vegetables
- pork slices + onion + buckwheat (add water when cooking)
- fish carcass in foil with vegetables
- pickled meat or fish
- cottage cheese + raisins + eggs + flour (semolina) = casserole
- soup (vegetables + herbs + pieces of meat / fish + cereals + spices)
- stew (vegetables + beans + meat) - for cooking or stewing
- shredded cabbage + minced meat = lazy cabbage rolls
- beans + minced meat (add tomato paste = delicious gravy)
Now about the soups. We rarely cook them. There is no time, and we eat without much appetite. But I always have preparations for them. And it's not just grated carrots and beets or chopped onions. For example, here's a set.
Why am I doing this. First, because of the savings. We buy products strictly according to the list, so there is an established budget and you should not go beyond it. Otherwise, you cannot save up for something you need.
Secondly, there is no time to stand at the stove for 2-3 hours every day, but eating borscht cooked for a week is boring on the third day.
And here everything is easy - we get fish and vegetables out of the freezer for me, chicken with rice for my son, and pork chop with onions and buckwheat for my husband - and into the oven. Everyone has a choice of what and when. And everyone can cook this food for themselves.
And the side dish... You can always boil potatoes or cereals, make a salad. If needed.
These are my ideas and a way to spend less time with pots. I hope that the material was useful to you.
