Stretch dough for crispy outside and puff inside homemade cakes

Just 5-10 minutes and you have an incredible dough in your hands that will make any pies great. And this is not an exaggeration, but a statement. Try it yourself!

Ingredients:

0.5 kg flour
300 ml water
0.5 tsp l. salt
1 cup vegetable oil

How to cook:

1. Sift flour into a bowl, add salt. Pour warm, but not hot water on top and slowly begin to knead, first with a large spoon, and then with your hands. To prevent the dough from sticking, pour in a little oil.

2. Transfer the dough to a floured or oiled table. Knead for no more than 1 minute.

3. Divide the resulting dough into 5 equal balls.

4. Roll the balls into not very thin cakes. Which to put on a plate on top of each other, greasing abundantly with vegetable oil and leave on the table for 5-10 minutes.

5. Grease the surface of the table with vegetable oil, preferably with a brush. Put one cake on the table. Cover your hands with oil and start pulling the dough out to the sides with your fingers, starting from the center.

Important! No rolling pin!

Continue gently pulling the dough out onto the table surface until you have a large rectangular flatbread. It will be very thin, it may tear in some places, but that's okay.

Important! If your table is small, then the dough can be divided not into 5 pieces, but into 10. This will make it easier to pull them out.

6. Fold the edges of the rectangle 1 times towards each other. All the dough is ready!

It can be used for baked pies with potatoes, apples (like strudel) or herbs and cottage cheese (like vertuta).

Advice: the filling should be put on one edge of the resulting dough and without cutting off anything from the rolled piece, wrap the filling with it, like a bandage or in different directions. For sweet pastries, you can add a little sugar to the dough - no more than 1 tsp. l.

Summing up: it takes a little time and products to prepare the stretched dough, the result will surely please you.

This dough is ideal for baking in the oven.
Pies from it become very crispy, and inside they turn out to be thin-layered.
And no commercial puff pastry can compare with home fume dough.
