Take this recipe and see for yourself that the incredible fish is swept off the table first.

Ingredients:

2 carcasses of fresh frozen herring
2 onions
0.5 l lemon
6 h. l. Sahara
4 hours l. salt
10-12 pcs. bay leaf
10 black peppercorns (crushed)
5 allspice peas (also crushed)

How to cook:

1. Prepare two jars of 0.5 liters. Wash and dry.

2. Gut the herring, remove the head and cut into portions. You can cut the fish into fillets and cut into slices.

3. Peel carrots and onions. Chop the onion into rings and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

4. Cut the lemon into thin slices and cut them in half.

5. Put several onion rings in the jar on the bottom, then bay leaf, a pinch of grated carrots, a circle of lemon, 0.5 tsp. sugar, a pinch of ground pepper and salt.

Above is a layer of herring pieces. Repeat layers of vegetables and spices.

6. Alternate layers of vegetables, spices and herring, periodically pressing down with a spoon until you reach the very top of the jar.

7. Close the jar with a screw or hard plastic cap. Put the jars in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

The herring prepared in this way turns out to be very tender, juicy, slightly salted and incredibly tasty.
When serving, you can pour over vegetable oil and lightly salt.
