Not only pilaf and kebabs with baked potatoes are eaten in nature. Our menu is much larger and wider.
In my camp kitchen there are two cauldrons and three multi-volume pots. Therefore, our meals can be prepared at the same time. Only have time to put firewood in a fire or to put a barbecue.
So what are we preparing.
First, the first thing. Sorry for the tautology. But soups, cabbage soup, borscht and other hot first courses at the dacha or in the village must be cooked. Moreover, often the whole family, sometimes more than 10 people, participate: someone is engaged in a fire, another peels and cuts vegetables, the third "cooks".
For instance, shulum or we do shurpa.
Or we fry small chickens. Right in the cauldron. A lot of oil, I know it is harmful. But how delicious!
Garlic and spices are required. And for such a fried chicken you need a spicy sauce made from tomatoes and peppers, or from sour cream with garlic and hops-suneli.
Sometimes there are guests at our dacha or we ourselves go to the village to visit our relatives, to eat.
Also here we have friends of a husband or brother. They catch crayfish in a local river and cook them in my cauldron. With herbs, onions, dill and always in beer.
They say it tastes better.
I don't know why to translate the product, but they often go for beer instead of water or broth. Even in the ear!
So last weekend we were tormented by a knuckle in beer with honey and celery. The smell was stupefying!
Neighbors who passed by always looked over the fence - that it smells so delicious there. Meat on the fire, but with beer. What else.
About the second.
Also in the cauldron, buckwheat with stew is regularly prepared, pilaf and pasta with minced meat and onions.
Or goulash. Just stewed meat with onions in tomato sauce, but with the smoke from the fire. And if there are a little potatoes and some water for it, then this delicious and aromatic soup comes out.
And you can just fry potatoes. With a bow, where can we go without it.
Or with other vegetables and pork ribs. Which, however, must first be fried on coals or in a cauldron. Or take smoked ones.
Well, how can it be without holidays. Even outside the city, far from civilization and snow-white tablecloths, you can have fun and, most importantly, deliciously celebrate whatever your heart desires.
For example, make dolma from grape leaves begged from a neighbor, stuff tomatoes, peppers and eggplants with delicious mince. Pour everything with tomato sauce and simmer for 1.5 hours. And then there is all this "disgrace" for three days.
So that's it.
And if we ate something and was left of such abundant meals, we put it in containers or jars and put it in the refrigerator. We already have this benefit here.
