Ingredients:
0.5 cups round rice
1 glass of water
cheese (mozzarella balls, hard cheese or "Friendship" cheese)
0.5 tsp l. salt
0.5 tsp l. dry basil
breadcrumbs
vegetable oil for frying
How to cook:
1. Pour the washed rice into boiling water, add salt and cook at a low boil, stirring occasionally to make it more sticky.
2. Cool the rice in the same bowl without rinsing. Dry basil in cold rice.
You can also use other spices, as well as garlic.
3. Prepare the filling. You can take any cheese you have. Cheese curds that need to be cut into 1x1 cm cubes are also suitable.
I have small balls of mozzarella from Magnet, bought for a promotion.
4. Pour cold water into a bowl, dip your fingers into it and take a little rice at a time to form cakes from it.
5. Put cheese in the middle of the flatbread and shape it into a ball. Slightly more walnut.
6. Dip the balls in breadcrumbs and fry in well-heated oil. The balls should float freely to fry from all sides.
About 2-4 minutes will be enough. Catch on a napkin.
Serve with sour cream, yogurt or mayonnaise.
