If there is a surplus of fresh tomatoes, I always freeze them. In this article, I share two of my own methods that will be useful to every housewife. They are very simple and do not require much time - the whole process takes about 10 minutes, no more.
Method one
I take whole tomatoes, wash them and wipe them dry with a towel. Then I cut out the stalks, as well as spoiled places, if any.
Well, I actually put the tomatoes in bags and put them in the freezer. An important point: I put 3-4 tomatoes in one bag, no more. At the same time, I distribute them so that they do not come into close contact with each other, or so that there is polyethylene between the tomatoes.
Then, when I need the tomatoes, I take them out and dip them in boiling water for 10 seconds. The peel is easily removed, the tomatoes quickly thaw - they can be cut almost immediately and added to any dish, even pizza, cabbage soup, goulash, etc.
Method two
The procurement principle is the same. Only chopped tomatoes. We prepare in the same way as in the first method: wash, wipe, cut off the excess.
Now cut into slices about 1 cm thick. We take a cutting board, wrap it with cling film or put on a regular bag. Lay out the chopped tomatoes on top so that they do not come into contact with each other.
We put it in the freezer for a few hours or overnight. Then we take it out, put it in a bag and put it back in the freezer. Such circles are very convenient to use for making pizza, for baking meat in the oven - in general, in any dish.
These are my ways. I have been using both of them for many years, and I think that you can't imagine better.
