Today I want to share with you a very simple recipe for making curd donuts, or baursaks, or donuts - but whatever you call them, these are delicious homemade cakes that will definitely decorate your cozy homemade tea party!
And, here's what we need for cooking:
Fat cottage cheese - 300 g
Chicken eggs - 3 pcs.
Sugar - 100 g
Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l. (into dough)
Salt - 1/2 tsp l.
Baking powder - 2 tsp l.
Flour - 400 g + a little for dusting
Vegetable oil for frying - 200-300 ml
Let's move on to cooking:
Put cottage cheese in a bowl - I use homemade fatty cottage cheese, although you can use absolutely any, add sugar to it (you can add vanillin to taste), salt, break the eggs and pour in the vegetable oil. Using a pusher or fork (spoon), grind into a homogeneous mass.
Then we sift the flour along with the baking powder, and knead the dough - very soft, sticky, even slightly spreading, and not gathering into a ball. And, this is the best consistency at this stage - then the flour will still be added during rolling.
We spread the dough from the bowl on the table, well sprinkled with flour, the dough, as it were, roll in flour, without interfering with it. We divide into several parts - this is only for convenience in work.
Alternately, roll out each part in a layer, up to 1 cm thick - if something sticks, sprinkle it with flour. And, further, with the help of some special cuttings for cookies, or just with a glass (or even a lid), we cut out blanks of donuts / crumpets.
Fry curd donuts in well-heated vegetable oil, but over low heat - otherwise they will immediately begin to burn, and in the middle they may not bake.
This amount of ingredients makes a huge bowl of ready-made donuts! Cook, taste, enjoy your tea!
