Do you often look at your old cooking notebooks? For some reason, I'm sure not - now almost all recipes can be found on the Internet. But, this is only practically... Sometimes there is something forgotten in old records!

Today I want to share with you one The simplest recipe for delicious homemade raisin cookies, which is still written by my mother's hand in my old cookbook - and this was probably 20 years ago.

The recipe is very simple and the cookies are delicious! I just added a little lemon zest to the dough.

But, this is not the only recipe for delicious homemade cookies that I publish - at the end of this article I will leave several links to other cookie recipes. Look, maybe tomorrow you will want to bake something.

Ingredients for making raisin cookies:
Chicken eggs - 1 pc.
Butter - 80 g
Sugar - 4 tbsp. l.
Salt - a pinch
Soda, slaked with vinegar - 1 tsp l. Or you can replace the baking powder now
Flour - 180 g
A little lemon zest
Raisins - about 100 g

Let's start cooking ...

Put soft butter in a bowl, add sugar, a pinch of salt and rub with a whisk (or mixer) until the butter turns white.

Then we break the egg and rub it a little more.

Next, sift the flour along with the baking powder and mix. Or just add the flour first, mix it and put in the soda slaked with vinegar at the end.

We wash the raisins, dry them with paper towels and add to the dough, and if desired, and possible you can add a little more lemon zest - lemon and raisins go well with each other, again mix.

From the resulting mass, we form small balls, a little more than a walnut, and put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or simply oiled with vegetable oil.

Then we slightly flatten each ball.

We bake cookies in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 12-15 minutes. The cookies turn out to be both soft and slightly crumbly - and very tasty! Cook, taste, enjoy your tea!
