We bake a cake with cream: no hassle

Today I am making a very delicious cake called "Volcano", which is baked together with cream - as a result of which it is difficult to call it just a pie, it is just a gorgeous homemade cake! There is already a similar recipe on my channel, somewhere 6-7 months ago I posted a recipe lean pie with juice - in theory, there is the same cooking principle, only the composition of the ingredients is different - and there is a lean version. I hope one of these two options will appeal to you!

Cooking ingredients:

For the test:
Chicken eggs - 4 pcs.
Sugar - 100 g
Milk - 150 ml
Vegetable oil - 75 ml
Vanillin - 1 tsp l.
Baking powder - 2 tsp l.
Salt - a pinch
Flour - 320-250 g
For the custard:
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Milk - 500-600 ml
Sugar - 100 g
Vanillin - 1 tsp l.
Corn starch - 60 g
Butter - 50-60 g

First, prepare the custard: break 1 egg into an iron bowl or a small metal pan, add sugar, vanillin, and rub it lightly with a whisk, without much zeal.

Next, pour in the milk, put the starch and, again, stir with a whisk, achieving a homogeneous state. I indicated corn starch in the list of ingredients - you can replace it with potato starch, this will not affect the consistency. But, the taste will still suffer! Although, you can even replace starch with flour.

Now, over low heat, we start the cream until a jelly-like state. Then add the butter and mix thoroughly. You do not need to cool this cream - just leave the pan with the cream aside and proceed to making the dough.

To do this, break the eggs into another bowl, add the same amount of sugar as in the cream, the same amount of vanillin, a pinch of salt and, again, beat slightly with a whisk, you can also use a mixer.

Now we pour in milk, vegetable oil.

Sift the flour together with the baking powder. The consistency of the dough will turn out to be not thick, but not liquid either.

We take a round baking dish, and it is better with split sides, you do not need to lubricate it with anything (there is enough vegetable oil in the dough), but I cover the bottom with parchment paper - the size of my baking dish is 24 cm. Pour all the dough into the prepared form.

Next, gently spread the custard in the middle (while still hot), without smearing anything, then it will distribute itself. And, we send to bake in the oven ...

And it is baked for about 35-45 minutes, at a temperature of 180 degrees. Let the finished baked pie cool completely, or at least so that it becomes optimally warm, otherwise you simply cannot cut it neatly, because the hot custard will creep out.

Before serving, the cake can be poured with sour cream and sugar and sprinkled with grated chocolate. Or pour over melted white chocolate, and again sprinkle with dark grated chocolate, you can simply sprinkle with powdered sugar - all at your discretion.
