In general, my favorite fish is it's capelin! Just 3 years ago, capelin was considered the cheapest fish - and now the price tag for this fish is 280 rubles. Unfortunately, you rarely indulge in such a fish! But there is another, no less tasty fish - Mackerel! Which can be bought for less than 150 rubles per kilogram. We now very often buy this particular fish, and I learned how to cook it in all possible ways.

Today I want to offer you my beloved recipe for baked mackerel in mustard sauce.

Mackerel prepared according to this recipe turns out to be very tasty and juicy - I recommend everyone to try to cook this fish at least once, I am sure you will like the result!

Cooking ingredients:

Fresh frozen mackerel - 2 pcs. (or more)
Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp l.
Mustard - 2 tbsp. l.
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp l.
Salt - 1/2 tsp l. (taste)
A little black pepper

There is nothing special in the preparation of fish - we clean it, wash it, gut it. Therefore, I did not even seem to have recorded this process. The main thing is to make the sauce ...

To make the sauce, put mayonnaise, mustard in a bowl - you can use absolutely any, French, Dijon or just our Russian-vigorous. Pour in vegetable oil, lemon juice, salt a little, pepper and mix. That's all, the sauce is ready! Everything is simple and fast.

Next, we take the prepared fish, put it in some suitable dish and grease it with mustard sauce on all sides with a brush or simply with our hands. Leave for 15 minutes to soak the fish.

After 15 minutes, transfer the mackerel in mustard sauce to a baking dish - which I recommend you cover with foil. This is very convenient: firstly, the fish will move away from the mold more easily, and secondly, it will be easier to wash the dishes - he removed the foil and the mold is almost clean. We bake the fish in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes.

The fish turns out to be very juicy, with an appetizing crust, and the aroma is worth when baking - just beyond words! Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
