Ingredients
- 500 ml of boiled milk
- 20 grams of compressed yeast
- a tablespoon of sugar
- a teaspoon of salt
- 3 tablespoons refined oil
- 500 grams of flour
- Filling:
- mashed potatoes
- 2 fried onions
- salt
- 150 grams of ham
Steps
2 tablespoons of flour + a tablespoon of sugar, pour 0.5 liters of boiling milk and quickly brew everything with a whisk so that there are no lumps! Put the bowl in cold water for faster cooling (up to 37-38C), then crumble 20 grams of pressed yeast to the custard base - mix and let the frothy head rise for about 15 minutes. Then add 3 tablespoons of refined oil + a teaspoon of salt - mix well and add a little flour through a sieve - 0.500 grams of flour will take in total!
The dough will be very tender and soft! The filling for such pies is any to your taste, I have mashed potatoes with fried onions and the addition of ham! We divide the dough into portioned balls and while the last one has been piled up, the first ones have a rest and we start with them. Roll out the ball with a rolling pin and put the filling in the center, pinch it with a triangle and put it on the seam.
And so we prepare everything, and at this time the pan with oil is already warming up on the fire. As soon as all the pies have formed, fry the pies, starting with the first ones over low heat, put the finished pies on a napkin.
