Hello friends! I recently got acquainted with a new (for myself) way of making delicious rice without much hassle. I got it from the chef of a Moscow restaurant and I decided to share this recipe with you and even shoot a video clip.

This method is suitable for long-grain Basmati, Jasmine rice - 1 volume of rice in 2 volumes of water
How to cook delicious crumbly rice
- The measurement is by volume, which is very convenient.
- Pour rice into a mug and pour into a saucepan.
- Rinse it a couple of times with cold water and drain.
- Other types of rice should be rinsed to clean water.
- Place the pot on the stove and pour two the same mugs of cold water.
- Turn on strong heat and add 1 full tsp. salt and 2 tbsp. olive oil.
You can use any fat you like, any vegetable and butter or ghee.
- When the water boils, reduce heat and leave a little bubbling.
When the rice rises to the water level:
- reduce heat to a minimum
- close the lid
- wait one minute
- turn off heating
- do not open the lid for 30 minutes
- Then gently stir the rice and a wonderful side dish is ready.
It can be served with meat, fish or some kind of vegetable gravy.
