Hello friends! I want to share with you an amazing recipe for sauerkraut with meat. It was prepared by my husband's sister when she was visiting and he immediately conquered us with its simplicity. To prepare this dish you need only 3 ingredients:

0.5 kg any meat
1.0 kg sauerkraut
200 ml cream or sour cream (fat content according to your taste).

Stewed sauerkraut with meat

  • Any meat is suitable, as I said, I have chicken.
  • Cut the meat into large pieces, 2-3 cm each.
  • Preheat a large skillet or stewed pan with vegetable or ghee and fry the meat.
Fried meat
  • While the meat is fried, prepare sauerkraut and drain the juice from it.
  • If the cabbage is very large, you need to chop it and put it in a pan with the meat.
  • Stir, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Sauerkraut
  • Stir occasionally, add cream after 20 minutes.
  • There are no other ingredients in this recipe.
Finnish sauerkraut
  • Increase heat and bring to a boil.
  • When the liquid has boiled again reduce the heating to a minimum, close the lid and leave for another 20 minutes.
  • I don't add anything else to this dish, neither salt, nor pepper, nor sugar, it is already very tasty.
