This is my grandmother's old recipe, with beautiful whole berries. She boiled it in an old brass basin. It was interesting to watch this process, because I liked the froths from the berries, which she removed while boiling.
This jam is very sweet and can be easily stored without a refrigerator until next summer.
The proportion of berries and sugar in this recipe is 1 to 1. Sugar here is the main preservative for long-term storage.

The process of making this jam is simple, but lengthy. The berries need to be boiled several times for 5 minutes and wait for complete cooling. But in the end, you get the perfect jam, namely berry to berry.

The cooking process for this strawberry is faster than the previous one. Pure berries are covered with sugar until juice is released, which is about 3 hours. Then the whole mass is brought to a boil and cooked for 5 minutes.
The proportion in this recipe is 1 part berries to half of sugar.The basic rules for storing this five-minute are described in Zen.
This jam can also be stored without a refrigerator in a cool dry place, but it is thinner, more aromatic and has half the sugar.
