Every housewife knows that beets take a long time to cook. It takes at least 1 hour to cook the beets and 30 minutes if you bake them in the oven.

How can you quickly cook beets when they expect delicious "Herring under a fur coat" from you, but you still need to cook so much more.

My mother-in-law does not bother with beets for a long time, and even has time to cook in 10 minutes. She taught me how to do it quickly in two ways.

Method number 1

We all use a microwave today. Many will say that this is harmful. Yes, I do not argue, but when we need to quickly cook or reheat food, then it helps out great.

Therefore, we take the beets, wash them well and pierce them in several places with a fork.

Now we put the beets in the food sleeve, tie the ends tightly and pierce so that it does not explode. If there is no sleeve, then you can take a regular plastic bag.

We put the bag in a plate or plastic container and send it to the microwave for 10 minutes (with a power of at least 750 W). If the microwave has less power, then 15 minutes.

The beets are ready!

So in just 10 minutes, the beets have time to bake well and taste like baked in the oven.

Life hack for cooking beets in a saucepan.

Housewives know that after boiling beets, it is very difficult to clean the pan. To do this, in order not to stain the pan with beets, put the beets in a bag before cooking and tie them tightly.

Do not forget to check the tightness of the bag by inflating a balloon from it.

Boil the beets in a bag and then you do not have to wash the pan from dark deposits.

Method number 2

There is another way to boil beets quickly without a sleeve or bag.

To do this, take the already washed beets and prick them with a fork. Then put in a deep glass container, pour some water on the bottom (half a glass is enough) and close the top with a lid.

You can also use a food container with a lid, as long as the beets are covered, but not corked.

We also put it in the microwave for 10 minutes, but after the time has passed, we don't get it right away, but leave the beets inside for another 10 minutes.

In this way, the beets are also cooked quickly, but they taste like boiled in a saucepan.
