- Cinderella, you have nothing to do, it would be better if you took it and rested!my mother-in-law told me when she came home from work, then sent the cutlets bought in the store into the freezer and went to her room.

At first, I didn't understand my mother-in-law at all. She took offense, and tried to please even more. I think it only did me good.

Now I know how to quickly and tasty feed the whole family, and how to save a pretty penny of the family budget.

Recipe number 1

"Cabbage and chicken is a duo that always dances." Simply put, by combining the simplest and most affordable products, you can prepare a delicious and inexpensive dish.

Try it and see for yourself!

For preparation # 1 we need:

  • Cabbage (white) - 1/4 head of cabbage
  • Chicken (fillet) - 1 pc.
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc.
  • Margarine (optional spread or butter) -100 gr.
  • Tomato paste - 1-2 tbsp l.
  • Semolina (or flour) - for boning
  • Salt, black pepper - to taste

Let's start cooking.

We pass the cabbage and chicken fillet through a meat grinder. Add the egg to the resulting minced meat, salt, pepper and mix well.

Margarine (oil) cut into small cubes and send to the freezer for 20-30 minutes. These cubes are most convenient to make in advance, and ice molds are great for storage.

With a slice of margarine (oils) we form cutlets.

Dip in semolina (or flour) and fry in a pan with vegetable oil.

We shift the cutlets into a saucepan with a thick bottom, fill with water, add tomato paste and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Or put the cutlets in a heat-resistant container, fill with sauce and bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes.

Making the sauce

Fry flour in a pan (1-2 st. l.), add the liquid in which the cutlets were stewed, and mix quickly so that no lumps form. Bring to a boil and, stirring constantly, cook until the sauce thickens (1-2 minutes), salt, pepper to taste.

Recipe number 2

This dish is very similar to stewed cabbage, but is cooked without meat. Instead of meat, chicken is taken, namely that part of it, which many often simply throw away - the ridge with the neck and skin.

Do not be surprised, but I do not add vegetable oil to this dish. When fried chicken, a lot of fat is released from the skin, which is enough for frying cabbage.

For preparation # 2 we need:

  • Cabbage (white) - 3/4 head of cabbage.
  • Chicken (ridge with neck and skin) - 1 PC.
  • Tomato paste - 1-2 tbsp l.
  • Extinguishing water
  • Salt, black pepper - to taste

Let's start cooking.

Shred cabbage. If there is an assistant, it will work out quickly.

We take a cauldron or a high frying pan, fry the chicken under a lid over high heat for 5 minutes, salt, pepper, turn over. After 2 minutes, take out, cool and separate the meat from the bone.

We put the cabbage in a cauldron, stir and simmer under the lid, stir from time to time.

When the cabbage settles and is fried, salt and pepper, add meat, tomato paste and fill with water. Pour water about 1 cm from the level of the cabbage, and simmer under the lid for 20-30 minutes.

Such stewed cabbage goes well with boiled potatoes, cutlets, fish and even sausages.

Bon Appetit!
