In today's article I want to talk about recipe for pies with sauerkraut and lard. From time to time I cook sauerkraut pies, they turn out delicious, but they always lack some zest. This time I was making pies with sauerkraut and decided to add lard to them. The result impressed me - after a few hours there was no trace of a large plate of pies. With my invention, cabbage pies are tastier than meat, I recommend trying it!

1. Preparing the cabbage mince. 1 kilogram of sauerkraut finely cut with a knife, 100 grams of salted lard rub on a fine grater. Mix the cabbage and lard thoroughly, adding 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Scroll the photo to the right.

2. Making the dough. 400 milliliters of boiled water, 100 milliliters of milk, salt, half a teaspoon of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Be sure to sift the flour and knead the dough, like on dumplings. Cover with foil and let "rest" 30 minutes.

3. Roll out the dough to a diameter 3 centimeters, divide into circles, roll out. Put the filling on juicy and close. Using a plate cut off the edges of the pie.

4. Lubricate the pan with a piece of bacon, which remained after rubbing on a grater, add any vegetable oil (I fry on corn). Fry before browning at both sides. Delicious pies are ready! Adding lard makes the filling tender, juicy and rich. If you liked the article - rate it like and subscribe to the channel! Scroll the photo to the right.
