In today's article I will tell you how to measure blood pressure without a tonometer. My father-in-law told me about this working method. Now Vladimir Filippovich is 87 years old, in his younger years he was a sailor and during his service he learned this method of measuring pressure. Last summer, it turned out to be very useful, we were at the dacha, but we forgot to take the tonometer, and it is the method described below allowed me to find out the pressure from my mother-in-law and take the necessary medications.
To measure pressure, we need ruler, suitable from any material, thread and small cargo. The weight can be any small object, for example, a nut, ring, needle, we used an ordinary paper clip. We put our hand on the table, place a ruler on it, so that its beginning is at the bend of the elbow, we hang the load by the thread. Photo taken by the author (conducting an experiment)
We bring the paperclip to the beginning of the ruler and slowly move the paperclip along the ruler.
Opposite the number where the paper clip will begin to wiggle and there will be upper pressure. If the paper clip wobbles at the number 11, then the pressure is 110, you need to add zero. My husband's top pressure was 115. In our experiment, the paper clip jerked 7.5. As a result, we determined that my husband's blood pressure was 115 to 75. Having checked on the tonometer, the result was 116 to 70. Almost accurate result. Everything is shown in detail in the photo, scroll to the right. If you liked the article - rate it with your thumb up!
