Sitting on self-isolation at home, you no longer know what to cook in order to diversify your table.
Having found canned food in the cabinet, I remembered how my mother often baked fish pies as a child. She made them with canned food, and with fresh fish, but since there was pink salmon in her arsenal in her own juice, she didn't have to invent anything
To make a pie, we need:
- Puff pastry - 1 pack
- Pink salmon (or any other fish) canned food - 1 pc.
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Greens, green onions
- Butter - 50 gr.
- Sesame
- Egg - 1 pc, to grease the prirog
First, roll out the dough. You need to roll it out not very thinly so that the cake does not fall apart.
Cut the eggs coarsely. I often don't cut them into salads, but wrinkle them with a fork so that they are small, there should be no porridge right there, so we just cut them.
Drain the liquid from the canned food, and knead it with a fork with a fish.
We combine fish with eggs. Add green onions and finely chopped greens. Salt and pepper to taste.
You need to cover the baking sheet with baking paper so that the cake does not stick to it. We spread the dough with sides, filling on top. Because the filling is not juicy (we drained the liquid from the canned food). On top, I put a few small pieces of butter.
Cover the pie with the second piece of dough.
I grease the top layer of the pie with yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
I send it to a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
You can make brushwood from the remains of the dough.
I grease the rolled dough with melted butter.
I cut into small strips, make a small incision in the middle of the strip, and twist the dough. Sprinkle sugar on top.
In the oven for 10 minutes.
By the way, you can also make an amazing cake from canned food if you knead the dough yourself. I like the recipe for kefir dough. In the photo you can see that it turns out to be more airy.
That's all! The canned fish pie is ready!
Bon Appetit everyone!
