Lazy dumplings are a wonderful dish, it takes a long time to cook, the body benefits from it - it seems to be there, but the taste... The taste can be made such that eaters will salivate.

As a child, I was not so fond of lazy dumplings. Despite the fact that in children's lard and in general in children's institutions they were cooked quite tasty, I did not like that, firstly, they are served with melted butter butter (I didn't like it, that's all), and, secondly, often the dumplings were somewhat "granular" (and I mean not the whiteness of the granular buns, but the granularity cottage cheese).

Then I also had a chance to try lazy dumplings, and each time there were flaws.

Basically - a very strange balance of sour, sweetish and salty.

I don't like it when acid and salt dominate in a dessert (well, or just sweet, in my understanding) dish.

And you don't have to make big eyes, they say, it's dumplings! Although lazy, they are made from cottage cheese, and cottage cheese is sour. Cheesecakes are also made from cottage cheese, but for some reason no one is trying to make them very sour?

In general, friendship with lazy dumplings developed only when I met the pinnacle of their culinary excellence, lazy dumplings with cherries.

We take:

  • A pack of cottage cheese (400 grams)
  • Two eggs
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar in the dough (to taste, more is possible) and sugar, which you will add to the filling.
  • A glass of flour in the dough and another - for adding a table when cooking
  • Pitted cherries - glass at least

How we cook:

Here the child will cope.

First, we wipe the cottage cheese through a sieve, if you are doing everything the old fashioned way, or we punch it well with a blender. We need a tender, dessert mass!

Secondly, we prepare the dough from flour, eggs, cottage cheese and sugar.

We put it on a table sprinkled with flour (I cover it with cling film beforehand, because I am a lazy person, I removed the film and threw it away)? We roll a thick sausage from this dough and cut it into pieces, taking into account that each dumpling must contain a few more filling berries.

We make a cake from each piece, put the filling, sprinkle sugar on top of it and - close the dumpling, you can roll a bun out of it.

Cook for 5-7 minutes in salted water, and serve ...

My favorite is the cherry syrup option.
