Lavash is a universal ingredient. You pick it into pieces - and here's your bread, wrap something in it - and a whole breakfast, or even dinner, is already ready. Most often, chicken, lightly salted fish, cream cheese and cucumber with herbs are used as filling for pita bread.
But the list of available ingredients does not end there. Moreover, in summer, sometimes you don't want anything salty under any sauce. And the chicken too. Because you yourself feel like a bird - a grill, and heating comes from all sides - from the hot asphalt and from the walls of houses, and from the upper burner... Ugh, the sun.
For this case, there is a very easy and summer option.
We take:
• A pack of cottage cheese
• A couple of hard-boiled eggs
• Cucumber (fresh and crispy)
• More greenery of different types
• Salt
• Mayonnaise, sour cream or yogurt - to taste
• Well, pita bread, of course
It is better to take cottage cheese not soft, but ordinary - one that needs to be kneaded with a fork. Grain will not work here either.
In mashed curd, cut a cucumber into small cubes, then - with the same small cubes of eggs.
Each time, adding a new ingredient, stir the mass.
Next, chop the herbs, stir in, salt, season with sauce to taste (mayonnaise, sour cream or yogurt). So that the mass is not crumbly, but a little viscous, plastic and ...
Here is the main problem: if I make such rolls from whole lavash, then they are usually difficult to cut - after all, you need more fillings than in a roll with salmon and cream cheese, for example.
Therefore, it is better to cut the pita bread into long pieces of strips (the width is arbitrary, as it is more convenient for you), and put the filling on them (in width), and then wrap it.
You can eat it cold, or you can grill it a little.
Bon Appetit!
