I boast: our "strategic reserve" for the New Year. For yourself and friends, so as not to blush for a gift

Last New Year we had a little embarrassment. One of the sweet gifts (chosen according to reviews and not cheap) contained sweets... Well, let's just say, very strange.

An omnivorous Chinese crested dog of recipients, capable of not only eating but also digesting socks, boots, and rubbish together with a garbage bag, turning his paws on the table, reached for the unfolded, bitten and set aside candy. A couple of times he twitched his black nose, boundless surprise was reflected on his face and... he didn’t come to the side of the table on which the candy was lying.

I will not name the brand - it was not the manufacturer who was to blame, but the gift picker. Well, we also - because we didn't check the expiration dates. The situation turned out to be very unpleasant, so this year, before giving anything, we try the sweets ourselves. Hoping that until the present will go to the gifted, at least one piece of candy will live.

True, given how the wife and children go around and around stocks - I doubt it very much.

I'll show you the stocks now.

We have a "gift of the year" - oriental sweets. We got hooked on them in the fall, since then we spoil ourselves - and not only ourselves - from time to time.

Wife loves writing Adlin the most.

She is a fan of good halva, and writing resembles both halva and cotton candy at the same time, but with a very different (and rather rich) palette of taste. With saffron and pistachio, with hazelnuts and almonds - your choice.

For personal use, we usually take large packages, and then they do not last long.

The same sweets will be used as sweet gifts for children - this year we will collect them ourselves. Well, on the New Year's table they will not be superfluous at all.

But as a gift for adults, they chose a "solemn" option - writing in a chest, with the taste of strawberries and watermelons.

Very beautiful, and, most importantly, delicious in summer.

And the packaging looks elegant (the packaging of this brand is a separate story, look, there is for every taste and for every occasion, well, for every wallet).

For a change, nougat will do... Oh, nougat! The first time I read about her was in a book, and not in some Arabian tales, but in The Forsyte Saga. In the last part, where Soames Forsyth's daughter is already an adult, and she and her father have a snack in some pastry shop, Fleur Forsyth chooses just nougat.

When I tried the dessert for the first time, I was disappointed. I could not understand what was interesting in it - the taste is flat, the consistency is viscous. True, this nougat was in the filling of a widely advertised chocolate bar, and, as it turned out, it is very far from real nougat.

I tasted "the present" when I was already quite adults, when the opportunity to travel appeared. Real nougat is actually a piece of confectionery art.

It maintains a balance of density and viscosity, and the sweetness is not leading, it is set off by other tastes, yet together it gives a very harmonious chord (especially if it accompanies good coffee or tea).

Here is such a package - it is in the feast and the world, as they say.

It can be presented directly by packaging, it can be a prefabricated gift with writing, you can put it on the table for tea. Inside is a delicate and delicious nougat with walnuts from Hajabdollah.

Real nougat, and most importantly - very fresh, just like the writing.

Bon Appetit!
