I am always in favor of something new, no matter in what area this “new” appears. Because innovation, more often than not, fits into everyday life and brings something new into it. So, the appearance of the screw meat grinder contributed to the widespread distribution of minced meat dishes. Then it's easier to twist the meat than to chop it.
In cooking, there are a lot of seemingly tiny inventions that make life very easy. The same egg cutter, or a grater with many attachments. And a food processor, microwave ovens? Gas and electric stoves? Timers on them? Let the names of those people who invented all this be famous for centuries!
But now innovations have flooded into the wrong steppe. Leafing through culinary magazines, I come across more and more new things that... just do not belong in the kitchen!
The kitchen is, excuse me, excuse me, gentlemen innovators, a place of cleanliness! And only easily washable materials are appropriate on it, on which bacteria do not multiply, which can be used with detergents, and on which the detergents themselves do not remain.
The synthetic sponge is as great an invention as the microwave. There is nothing more disgusting than rags and other things that used to be used for cleaning and washing dishes. They are unhygienic and unkempt. At the same time, they were not allowed to use only rags - I'll tell you somehow, I've seen enough in my childhood ...
And why "return to basics" now? No, the trend is natural, of course. Protecting the planet. So let's come up with something really useful. Biodegradable synthetic sponges, for example.
What's bad?
The fact that the new generation is not looking for easy ways? Here, take a look.
Natural hemp sponge. Designed by a group of students at the Royal College of Art in London, UK
Ok, you can put up with hemp, although I doubt that from the hemp - especially if you look at the structure of the sponge - fat and everything else will be washed out, even taking into account the use of detergent. That is, not everything, but some of what you wash off the plate will remain in the sponge.
In this case, the sponge should be disposable, because with the remnants of food in it, it will become a source of an unpleasant odor and all kinds of bacteria and microorganisms will start to multiply in it.
People, but it will be disgusting to take it in hand.
But that's not all. This sponge will grow into grass as it is used. Grass has appeared - it's time to replace the sponge. Against the grass on the lawn or in the field, in the meadow, in the forest, I have nothing. But why in a sponge??? Why is there grass in the dishwashing sponge?
Although the grass seems completely harmless, compared to what this sponge starts up in before it germinates ...
Could you wash dishes with such a sponge?
