The guests did not realize that I had made the cake in a regular frying pan. I show what happened and share the recipe

Recently my younger brother Sasha had a birthday. I usually make cakes for family events. But on the eve of the holiday, the electricity was suddenly cut off at home, which means that the oven does not work and all mixers and blenders do not work either.

Fortunately, I have a portable gas stove. So I decided to cook a cake in a frying pan, the recipe for which had been kept in my notebook for a long time.

The recipe is extremely simple and you can cook it, even if you have no experience at all. However, the result is surprising. If I had not told my brother and guests how this cake was made, they would not have guessed. Okay, I won't drag it out anymore, let's cook.

Be sure to read the article to the end, there will be a detailed video recipe.

Step-by-step recipe on how to cook a cake in a frying pan

Cream

  • Sour cream 525 g (I used 20% fat)
  • Sugar 195 g
  • Eggs 3 pcs
  • Starch 60 g
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp l.

First, I'll prepare the cream so that it has time to cool. I send all the ingredients into a ladle and put on medium heat.

With constant stirring, I bring the mass to a gurgle and boil it down to a creamy state. I take it off the heat, put it in a container, cover it with cling film in contact and put it in the refrigerator to cool.

While the cream is cooling, I will start preparing the cakes, or rather the sand crumbs.

  • Flour 405 g
  • Butter 225 g
  • Sugar 105 g

I pour flour into the container. I put a grater with large holes inside the container and rub it with ice-cold butter.

To prevent the oil from melting, I previously put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. And so that the oil does not stick to my hands, when rubbing, I dip it in flour.

Grate a little butter - grind it with flour into crumbs and so on, until the butter runs out. At the end I add sugar and mix all the ingredients until finely homogeneous.

I put the pan on the fire, slightly above average, and fry the crumbs until golden brown. It's time to collect the cake.

For the shape, I used a sliding ring without a bottom. This shape is very convenient and easy to remove the cake from. I also really like that one sliding ring can replace a large number of shapes. Its diameter varies from 16 to 30 cm.

The only negative, although for me it is a plus, that the form has no bottom, but I just wrap the bottom with foil. Such a ring is not expensive, but you can study and read reviews on Yandex. Market, go to the widget below.

I put the sliding ring on the dish and pour the crumbs onto the bottom. Then I distribute some of the cream evenly. In total, the cake will contain 6 layers and 5 layers of cream.

When all the layers of cream and crumbs are laid, cover the top with cling film and press with a plate. I put it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, and preferably at night. Let's show you what a cutaway cake looks like.

The cake is incredible. The sand crumbs were soaked in cream and stuck together into cakes. To show the process as clearly as possible, I shot a video recipe. Be sure to check it out if you have any questions.
