I share a simple cinnamon bun recipe. You can cook, even if you have no experience at all.
I love cinnamon rolls. I first tried them in childhood when I was visiting my father's sister Luda in Finland. Aunt baked buns and brought them to the table while they were still hot. The pleasant smell of cinnamon filled the entire apartment.
I still remember how I slowly tore off piece by piece and enjoyed the fragrant baking with milk. Recently I remembered this picture and immediately wanted to return to the past.
While I love cinnamon rolls, I don't like messing around with pastry. In traditional recipes, it must be kneaded for a long time and painfully by hand. You can do with a stationary mixer with a hook attachment, but not everyone has one.
But today's recipe is different. For him, it is enough just to mix all the ingredients, and time will do the rest. I will not drag it out any longer, let's cook!
Step-by-step recipe for how to make cinnamon rolls
- Milk 310 g
- Butter 60 g
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Dry yeast 1 1/4 tsp
- Sugar 3 tbsp
- Vanilla extract 1 tsp (or 5 g vanilla sugar)
- Flour 3 cups (250 ml)
Pour milk into a container and add melted butter. I warm up the mixture in the microwave for 1 minute.
I add the rest of the ingredients, except for the flour, and mix until smooth.
I pour in all the flour at once and mix the dough so that all the ingredients come together.
You do not need to knead the dough. Just stir until smooth.
I cover the container with the dough with cling film and put it in a warm place for 2 hours 30 minutes.
I put the dough in a cold oven with the light on. By heating the lamp, the temperature in the oven rises to 28-30 degrees - just right for a good rise of the dough. And most importantly, there are no drafts in the oven, which means the dough will not fall off.
After the specified time, the dough will rise more than 2 times. I stir so that the gas leaves the dough.
I roll out the dough on a floured table into a layer about 1 cm thick.
For the filling, I mix sugar and cinnamon. I pour it onto the dough and distribute it evenly over the entire surface.
- Sugar 1 glass
- Cinnamon 1 tsp
I roll the dough into a roll. Cut into pieces about 3 cm thick and transfer to a mold greased with vegetable oil. Cover with a towel and leave for 30 minutes until the size of the blanks increases.
To make the edge of the dough stick to the roll, I grease it with a little water.
After 30 minutes, the workpieces expanded in volume and occupied almost the entire mold space. I send it to bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 30-40 minutes.
While the buns are baking, I'll make the icing. To do this, I mix all the ingredients with a whisk until smooth.
- Curd cheese 150 g
- Powdered sugar 150 g
- One lemon juice
If the glaze is too thick, you can heat it up in the microwave in pulses of 15-20 seconds 1-2 times.
Immediately after baking, I cover the buns with glaze. The buns are ready and can be served right away while they are still hot. Below I will leave a video recipe for these buns. I advise you to see if you have any questions about cooking.
