I haven't gone to the cinema for almost 5 years. More precisely, I went to cinemas, but more and more to non-mainstream films. And then I was invited to the pre-premiere screening of Guy Ritchie's Gentlemen. I agreed, but almost from the very beginning everything did not go according to plan.
The Mirage Cinema is located on the other side of Moscow in Rostokino. I specially left in advance, because I wanted to see what is being sold in cinema bars. As a sweet tooth, I was interested in desserts. But traffic jams have slightly adjusted plans.
I arrived 15 minutes before the session and really wanted to go to the toilet. According to my assumption, this time should have been enough to run into the toilet, get to the hall and still have 5 minutes to look at the cinema bar. But the shopping center is undergoing renovations and most of the paths are closed.
You go along the sign and you find yourself in a dead end. It's frustrating, but when you feel like it, it's doubly frustrating. When I figured out the small things, it was only 5 minutes before the film, and I had absolutely no idea where to go. And at such moments, as for evil, not a single guard or employee of the shopping center is nearby.
As a result, I found the cinema all covered in soap, but there was no time left for popcorn and desserts. I must say that I really liked the film itself. Guy Ritchie knows a lot about crime detectives. Right after the movie, I went to watch the movie bar.
It turned out that most cinemas are now moving to a supermarket-style cinema bar. You can safely walk between the rows with snacks, and then pay at the checkout.
I was amazed by the assortment of sweet popcorn. Previously, sweet popcorn was rather an exception, but here you can choose from: sweet, caramel, chocolate and even popcorn of all colors of the rainbow. The popcorn buckets are in “warm cabinets”. In addition to the usual soda, you can indulge yourself with coffee or slash.
I already went to the cinema, but I could not resist and took a sample of popcorn with raspberry and yoghurt flavor and blue lagoon slush. The prices, I must say, are quite high, but this has always been the case in cinemas. As a result, the return to the world of mass cinema can be considered successful.
