The longer the fast, the more you want to please yourself with something delicious. I do not adhere to the fast, but I agree with those who observe it. Therefore, I decided to share a simple dessert that is easy to prepare.

Creme banana brulee contains ingredients that are not always available at home, but you can easily buy them at a regular grocery store. Look for agar agar in the baking section. Coconut and oat milk usually sit alongside regular milk. And most importantly, these products are not interesting for alarmists, who are now buying up everything.

A regular can of coconut milk is 400 grams, to use all at once, increase the proportions by 2 times.

Step-by-step recipe for how to make banana brulee crรจme

For this dessert, ripe banana is best suited, which is already darkening

Ingredients:

  • Banana 100 g
  • Coconut milk 200 g
  • Vegetable milk 200 g (I used oatmeal)
  • Sugar 50 g
  • Starch 30 g (I used corn starch)
  • Agar-agar 1/2 tsp l.
  • Vanilla 1 tsp l. or 1 tbsp. l. vanilla sugar
  • Sugar 2 tsp l. for caramel crust
100 grams is about half a banana, so I ate the rest ๐Ÿ˜‹

I cut the banana into small pieces and send them to the blender along with all the ingredients.

Powerful blender is the key to success

I grind it into a homogeneous liquid mass. It is important that the blender is powerful enough to work for 3-4 minutes in a row, that is how much time it took me for this stage.

Boiling mass for crรจme banana brulee

Pour the resulting mass into a ladle and put on medium heat. After boiling, I boil for literally 1 minute, so that the mass thickens a little.

I pour it into molds, let it cool completely and put it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. If you are not afraid for your refrigerator, you can remove the molds immediately.

When the mass hardens, I take it out of the cold, sprinkle it with sugar and burn it with a burner until a caramel crust forms. I use 2 teaspoons of sugar for each serving.

How to make a caramel crust for crรจme brulee

An important point during firing: the sugar will first start to melt from above and at some point can catch fire. Blow out the fire and interrupt for 20-30 seconds, then continue firing.

Dessert is served immediately, while the crรจme banana brulee is still warm. The sugar on top turns into solidified caramel and needs to be broken up with a spoon before the banana brulee is tossed into your mouth.
