How to make a drink that is incredibly popular in Korea from instant coffee and sugar. There he is called Dalgona coffee.

In Korea, milk-based coffee drinks are adored, the most popular is Dalgona coffee. True, they themselves never make it, but always buy ready-made ones. But when the self-isolation regime was introduced and you can't go out on the street, the Koreans began to look for a way to cook it at home.

The recipe is extremely simple, and most people who have found the Soviet Union are probably familiar with the cooking technology. My dad, when I was little, often prepared a similar drink, whipping coffee with sugar with a spoon.

But in Asia, fast food is very developed, and they hardly cook at home. Therefore, when someone posted a video of Dalgon's coffee recipe on the social network TikTok, he scored millions of views in just a couple of hours. I decided to test the Korean method of making coffee, and what I did, read on!

Step by step recipe on how to make Dalgon coffee

I send all the ingredients to the whipping bowl. For clarity, I took a large transparent bowl and doubled the amount of ingredients. But it is best to use a deep container with a small diameter, then it will beat faster.

If you have a milk frother, for example, from IKEA, then it is very convenient to work with. You can make a single serving in a couple of minutes.

Begin to beat with a mixer. At first it may seem that nothing will work, but literally after 20-30 seconds, the liquid mass will begin to become dense. Since my bowl is wide, it took me 2-3 minutes to whip, and in a tall glass it will take no more than 30-40 seconds.

I pour milk into a glass, I used oatmeal, so the color in the photo is a little grayish. Classic Dalgona coffee is served cold, so ice can be added. Put the whipped foam on top with a spoon and you can enjoy it.

The foam turns out to be very tasty and holds its shape for a long time, I even thought about finding a use for it in some dessert.

  • Instant coffee 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Warm water 1 tablespoon
  • Cold milk
