I bought and tried all the curd snacks that I found in stores. Some had to be thrown out😱

To figure out which cheese curds are the most delicious and which ones are not worth the money, I had to go around all the nearby shops and buy up all the cheese curds that they sell there.

I have never eaten so many cheese curds in one go. And how long it took to photograph them, I generally keep quiet. But it was worth it. At first I wanted to break this review into parts and release it into several articles. But I thought that no one had done such a large-scale review, so I decided to be the first.

The article turned out to be long, but extremely useful. Therefore, I will not delay, let's start!

Curd snacks B.Yu. Alexandrov

In my opinion, these cheeses set the tone for all premium cheeses. Analogs from other brands began to appear on the market. Aleksandrov has many competitors, but so far no one has been able to surpass the quality of these curds.

Surprisingly, even B.Yu. Aleksandrov there are positions that I didn’t like at all, and I would not recommend buying them. These are cheesecakes, they just don't taste good. It feels like they just took soft cottage cheese, mixed it with sour cream and poured it over with gelatin. The base of the cheesecakes is wet and doesn't look like shortbread at all.

Otherwise, all products are very good and for every taste. My favorite is the cheese in milk chocolate, it's my favorite. The most tasteless cheese, again in my opinion, is a cheese with 5% cottage cheese.

And what about the composition of the curds, you ask? Everything is fine here, the composition is beyond praise. You can check it yourself, here both cocoa butter and natural vanilla are all in place.

G-balance Health Formula

The brand is completely unfamiliar to me, but the design is very similar to the products of B.Yu. Alexandrov. Apparently, this is an attempt to play on the inattention of the buyer, or I'm wrong. Before trying, you need to check the composition.

The composition is surprisingly very good. There are no substitutes here and everything is exclusively natural, even vanilla. I wonder where these curds are made.

The manufacturer is Syrkoff LLC - I hear about him for the first time, although the production is located near my hometown. Well, okay, let's try.

The cheeses have a pleasant taste, but, in my opinion, they lack fat content. This brand positions itself as healthy, which means that the lower fat content is justified here. But it should be borne in mind that this affects the taste.

Cow from Korenovka

I love ice cream of this brand, but this is the first time I've seen cheese. Cheese is made in the likeness of B.Yu. Alexandrov, but the price is lower. Let's see what's wrong with the composition.

Good quality curd and glaze. The only thing that does not correspond to the premium status is the lack of natural vanilla. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about. Let's try.

But the taste is so-so. I was not impressed. The curd cheese with delicate curd grain seemed especially strange. You can really feel the grain curd in it, but this does not add sophistication to the cheese.

I have already tried all the expensive cheese curds, it's time to deal with brands from the middle price segment.

Curd snacks Svitlogorye and Soviet Traditions

I have combined these curd cheeses by packaging. They are wrapped in foil paper and are the same size, although the weight is different. Svitlogorye weighs 50 grams, while Soviet traditions weigh 45 grams.

Svitlogorye

I have not met the Svitlogorye brand before, let's read what is written on the package. The inscription “Belarusian Traditions”, according to the idea of ​​marketers, should cause the buyer to associate with the quality of Belarusian dairy products. But I always read the small print, because there is the most interesting.

It turned out that the Svitlogorye brand is not Belarusian at all, but Russian. These curds are made at the Dmitrov Dairy Plant. So much for the Belarusian quality. But maybe it's a good lineup, let's see.

The composition of the curd base is good, there is even butter. But the glaze pumped up, it replaced the cocoa butter with palm. And you can feel it in taste and texture.

Soviet traditions

Now let's see what kind of cheeses under the Soviet Traditions brand. I also see them for the first time. The packaging is beautiful and clearly designed for buyers who are nostalgic for the USSR. I wonder who the manufacturer is?

It turns out that these curds are made by Rostagrokompleks. The same company makes B.Yu. Alexandrov. Does this mean that there is such a good lineup? Let's check.

But the composition here is no longer as great as in the premium version. The curd base is not bad, but in the glaze they saved on cocoa butter and replaced it with palm oil. The situation is exactly the same as in Svitlogorye, after all, it's not in vain that I combined these cheese curds into one group.

So the curds from the middle price range have ended, the time has come for the cheapest.

Red price, Rostagroexport

In this category, I included inexpensive curds. In the nearest shops I met only cheese from Rostagroexport, which are made in the same place where B.Yu. Aleksandrov, Soviet traditions and products under the Krasnaya Price brand (owned by Pyaterochka).

Rostagroexport

First, I propose to deal with Rostagroexport. The cheeses are packed in shiny plastic packaging, so I couldn't take a picture of the composition and had to insert a photo from an online store. The curd base is quite edible, but the glaze is already without cocoa butter. I wonder how this will affect the taste?

In my opinion, the taste of these curds is even better than that of the Soviet traditions. Although, most likely, he is just more familiar, since it was these curds that I used to buy most often (until B.Yu. Aleksandrov appeared).

Red price

Now let's look at the “Red Price” cheese curd. By the way, these are the cheapest of all, the price is only 6 rubles 89 kopecks. The composition here, most likely, is all on substitutes.

So it is, you can't eat that. Both milk fat and cocoa butter were replaced here, so the cheese is called “glazed curd”, not “curd”, since there is no trace of curd here.

By the way, these cheeses are made at the same factory as premium cheeses G-balance, manufactured by OOO Syrkoff. I don't want to try them after reading the composition, but then the review will not be honest.

The taste of this glazed thing is such that you immediately want to drink it down or eat it in order to get rid of it. It is impossible to eat, and these curds, the only ones from the review, are sent to the trash heap. It's time to summarize.

Outcome

To my surprise, most of the cheeses turned out to be tasty and with a good composition. The higher the price, the better the quality - here this statement works 100%.

In my opinion, the most delicious are B.Yu. Alexandrov. It's like the iPhone in the smartphone world. The rest of the cheeses are like gadgets on Android: some are a little better, some are a little worse - but they still want an iPhone.

It's amazing how well this metaphor works here. Indeed, like the iPhone, B.Yu. Aleksandrov was the first on the market and set the trend for a top quality product. And the rest of the companies are just trying to catch up with the leader.

All the cheeses from today's review are worth buying, except, perhaps, the cheeses from Pyaterochka, I do not advise anyone to buy them. On this note, I end my mega review. Hope you found it interesting.
