Meatballs in tomato sauce in the oven

Recently, proper nutrition is gaining more and more popularity, this moment cannot but rejoice. Trying to give preference to still more simplified versions of dishes, let's not leave aside the long-loved native recipes. Today I want to suggest that you cook meatballs in the oven - simply, quickly, without unnecessary hassle and fuss.

We will not fry the meatballs, thereby making the dish heavier, we will simply bake them in tomato sauce - the taste and structure will come out harmonious, it will turn out tenderly and brightly. You can serve meat balls with pickles or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients:

Minced meat (turkey and chicken) - 300 g

Rice - ½ cup

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Tomato paste - 2 tablespoons

Water - 1.5 cups

Garlic - 2 cloves

Salt, pepper, paprika - to taste

Description:

1. Prepare a number of necessary products, if desired, you can supplement the list. Choose everything at your discretion, the minced meat can be replaced with a fatty one - from pork, in our case there will be a mixture of turkey and chicken. It is better to cook minced meat yourself. We take long, steamed rice, but, again, we focus on our taste.

2. Peel a medium-sized onion, rinse and dry. Crumble the root vegetable into small cubes or punch in a blender bowl - whichever you prefer.

3. Prepare rice in advance: boil a portion of the prepared washed cereal in one and a half portion of clean water. We need it not to be completely cooked, but "by the tooth". Mix rice and minced meat.

4. Pour onion slices here, add a couple of cloves of garlic, skipped on the press. Stir all the ingredients, season with salt, pepper, if available, throw in a pinch of sweet paprika.

5. Form medium-sized balls from the prepared mass.

6. Transfer the semi-finished products to a lightly oiled dish. In parallel, heat the oven to 180 degrees.

7. Mix the tomato paste and water separately. If you wish, throw your favorite spices or dry herbs here. Pour the tomato into a container.

8. Add laurel and peppercorns for a spicier aroma and lighter taste. Bake for 25 minutes.

9. The baked meatballs with tomato sauce are ready.
