What is great about cooking? - The opportunity to experiment, combine tastes and products, embody your own ideas and come up with new recipes.

And what happens if you add your favorite M & M`s sweets to the chocolate chip cookie dough? - You will get colorful and festive cookies that will be appreciated not only by children, but also by adults.

Making such cookies is not difficult at all, but it turns out very effectively.

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 180 g

Cocoa powder - 50 g

Potato starch - 1 tsp

Salt - 0.5 tsp

Soda - 0.5 tsp.

Vanillin - on the tip of a knife

Butter - 100 g

Chicken egg (selected category) - 1 pc.

Sugar - 130 g

"M & M`s" - 2 packs (36 g each)

Step by step recipe:

1. Prepare your ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand to soften. It is better to use M & M's candies with chocolate or crisps inside, because they are more compact in size. Mix sugar with vanilla.

Please note that for such a quantity of products, salt is too much, the finished cookies will taste sweet and salty. You can put it in less, then you get a sweet-chocolate taste.

Cover the baking tray with baking parchment or silicone sheet, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

2. You can use a mixer to knead the dough, but as the famous Canadian pastry chef Anna Olson says: "Anything less than a glass can be kneaded with a silicone spatula."

In a deep bowl, combine the soft butter and sugar mixed with vanilla.

3. Rub them with a silicone spatula, then beat the mixture with the same spatula until creamy. Then add the egg and beat again until smooth and fluffy.

4. Pour flour, cocoa powder, starch, baking soda and salt into a sieve. Sift everything into a bowl of butter and egg mixture.

5. Start mixing dry and liquid ingredients with a spatula.

6. Finish kneading the dough with your hands. You do not need to knead for a long time, as soon as the ingredients are combined, stop the process.

7. The dough turned out to be very pleasant, soft and not sticky, it keeps its shape perfectly. If it sticks, add a little more flour.

You can shape cookies: roll a small ball out of the dough, flatten it a little between your palms and place on a prepared baking sheet. During baking, the cookies do not spread, but they increase in volume, therefore, lay out the blanks at some distance from each other.

8. Lightly press M & M's candies into each piece, thereby making the cookies even flatter. The number of candies for each cookie depends on its size.

9. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. You can check the readiness of the cookies by pressing the middle with your finger - it will spring. You can also stick in a wooden skewer - if it comes out dry and clean, the pastries are ready. Remove from baking sheet and cool on wire shelf.

10. Chocolate cookies with "M & M`s" are perfect for everyday or festive tea drinking. It just asks for a New Year's or Christmas table.

11. Cooled cookies can be wrapped and presented as a gift.

12. It tastes like brownie, but unlike it, the cookies are not wet inside and are more crumbly.

From a given number of ingredients (depending on the size of the cookie), 18-20 pieces are obtained.

Enjoy your tea!
