When preparing snacks for a festive New Year's table, do not forget about sandwiches with sprats. They are very easy and quick to create, you will need about 5 minutes to serve them to the table, and it is not difficult to repeat if suddenly all the slices of bread with fish disperse from the plate.
The main thing is to have the necessary ingredients on hand. You can buy a jar of sprat at any convenience store or supermarket, or even better, stock up on them in advance, as there will be a rush in stores on New Year's Eve. Do not forget about fresh herbs and lemon - they will complement the main ingredients of the snack, and without them sandwiches will look boring. Instead of lemon, you can use fresh or pickled cucumber, especially if family or friends are allergic to citrus fruits.
Since the sprats are fat, grease the bread slices with soft melted or curd cheese instead of mayonnaise. If there is a cut baguette option on sale, purchase it.
Ingredients:
Sprats - 1 can
Processed cream cheese - 100 g
Baguette - 1 pc.
Lemon - 0.5 pcs.

How to cook:
1. Prepare the food you need. Best of all, a baguette is not airy, but knocked down so that it can be cut into portioned slices. Ideally - not white, but rye or bran.
2. Slice the baguette diagonally to make the slices look more attractive. Spread the rinsed lettuce on a serving plate. Place bread slices on it.
3. Brush each of them with soft cream cheese using a curved knife.
4. Open a jar of sprat, carefully drain the oil. Place 1-2 fish on the baguette slices, depending on the size of the sprat and bread slices themselves. Optionally, you can purchase smoked sprats by weight, but then you will have to clean them from the head, fins, remove the ridge and tail, leaving only the smoked pulp.
5. Cut the lemon into thin slices. Cut each of them in half more. Spoon the citrus halves onto the sandwiches. Using a fresh cucumber, cut into ribbons and roll them into roses.
6. Garnish with fresh dill or parsley after rinsing and lightly drying.
Serve the sprat sandwiches on the party table immediately after cooking. Such an appetizer is not prepared for future use, since oil can drain from the fish and the bread base will swell, become moist from it.
