The most common and favorite are cabbage pies. But they are even tastier if made from yeast dough. It is these baked goods that are most popular.

Today I made a cabbage pie made from yeast dough with kefir. In my opinion, this is the best option for savory pastries. The dough is prepared very simply and from a minimum of ingredients, it includes: yeast, flour, kefir and vegetable oil. The filling is also the simplest: from fresh stewed cabbage with vegetables and herbs.

This cake is perfect for a weekend home tea party.

Ingredients:

Yeast dough - 300 grams

Carrots - 2 pcs.

Salt to taste

Ground coriander - ¼ tsp

Ground black pepper - to taste

Fresh cabbage - 500 grams

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Parsley greens - 1 bunch

Egg yolk - 1 pc.

Prepare all the ingredients you need. My dough is ready yeast with kefir

, but you can use the one you like. It turns out very successful dough with mayonnaise and yeast, it is also great for brass pies.

Add spices according to your taste. I settled on salt, black pepper and coriander.

In addition to onions and carrots, add other vegetables. Sweet pepper will complement the filling quite well, just take it a little so as not to interrupt the taste of the cabbage itself. It is also delicious to add a little grated pumpkin as an addition.

For lovers of richer pies: you can add some fried smoked meats to the filling, it will be very tasty and satisfying!

Greens are also to your taste, green onions are good, which will give a little freshness.

Put finely chopped onions and carrots, grated on a medium grater, in the heated vegetable oil. Saute the vegetables until soft, about 5-7 minutes.

Add finely chopped cabbage and sauté for another 10 minutes until soft. Season the filling to taste. If the cabbage is very tough, add quite a bit of water and simmer for longer.

Put the finished filling in a bowl, cool it and add finely chopped greens, mix.

Pound the matched dough a little, divide it into two unequal parts. Roll up the balls.

Roll most of the dough into a thin layer that is the size of your mold so that it can be laid out on the bottom and sides.

Put the dough into a baking dish, lifting it up the sides.

Put all the filling on top, be sure to cool down. Flatten.

Roll a smaller piece of dough into a thin layer along the diameter of the mold so that it covers the filling. Cover the cabbage with it and pinch the edges of the dough.

You can make a braid or other decorations from the remains of the dough. Leave the cake in a warm place for 30 minutes, cover with a clean towel, then brush with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove the finished beautiful pie from the oven, leave on the table in the form for 10 minutes, then carefully remove and put on the wire rack. Cool completely.

Serve the cabbage yeast pie with a warm sweet tea or cold milk!
