Cottage cheese casserole with rice is prepared very simply, and from affordable and inexpensive ingredients, and the result is quite tasty and satisfying. Ingredients:

Cottage cheese - 200 gr.

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Rice - 50 gr.

Salt - 1 pinch

Vanilla sugar - 10 gr.

Sugar - 30 gr.

Orange zest - 1 tsp

Apple - 100 gr.

Powdered sugar - optional

Step by step recipe:

Prepare all the food you need to make the casserole. Buy cottage cheese in a store or in the market. Suitable for both fat and low fat content.

Apples are best with a sour taste. Orange zest can be frothed with lemon. Instead of vanilla sugar, you can use vanillin powder or extract.

Use long grain or round grain rice. The choice of the type of rice cereal will not affect the taste of the finished casserole.

Transfer the rice grains to a deep bowl. Pour in cold water and rinse them thoroughly, rubbing between your fingers. Rinse until the collected water is clear.

Boil about a liter of water in a saucepan. Salt a little. Dip the rice in boiling water. Stir immediately to prevent the grains from sticking to the bottom and let it boil. After boiling, cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, until soft.

Drain the cooked rice grains in a colander. Rinse immediately with cold water. Leave it on for a while to let all the liquid glass well.

Pass the curd through a fine sieve to make it more smooth.

Rinse and dry the eggs. Drive into a deep bowl. Add vanilla and regular sugar.

Beat everything with a mixer until the sugar grains dissolve. The egg and sugar mixture should expand in volume and turn lighter in color.

Pour the beaten eggs with sugar into the puffed curd. Stir until smooth. You can use a spatula or mixer.

Stir the rice into the curd mass.

Rinse the sour apple, dip with a napkin to remove excess water. Clean from seeds and skins. Cut into small slices. Add citrus zest and apple slices to all ingredients. Stir.

When using silicone molds, they do not need to be oiled. Others, made of ceramics or metal, it is advisable to grease them and sprinkle with bread crumbs.

Distribute the curd mass into the molds. It can be either portioned, or one large one for baking. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Bake for 40-60 minutes.
