You can use both fresh and frozen berries, but pitted. Defrost puff yeast-free dough in advance at room temperature, roll out thinly-thinly, cut into square layers. To free yourself from cooking it, purchase a semi-finished product in any supermarket, in the freezer department. For a mold of 22 cm in diameter, 0.5 kg of dough is enough for you.
For the filling, cream with a fat content of no more than 35% is best. Together with a thickener, they form a juicy filling, but after baking, the cake will need to be completely cooled to make it thicken.

Ingredients:
Cherries - 300 g
Puff pastry - 0.5 kg
Cream 15% - 200 ml
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Thickener for cream - 2 pack
Sugar - 100 g
How to cook:

Prepare food.

Rinse cherries, remove cuttings, stems, pour into a frying pan or into a ladle with a non-stick bottom. Add granulated sugar and place the container on the stove with medium heat. Mix everything gently.
At this point, you can add some ground cinnamon or vanilla sugar.

Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes on minimal heat. Cool for 20-30 minutes.

Combine the cream and thickener in a separate deep bowl. Beat the chicken egg in there. Whisk everything with a whisk for about 3-4 minutes so that the powder combines well with the liquid. There is no need to add sugar - it is in cherry sauce.

Pour the cherry sauce into a container and mix everything thoroughly.

Cover the baking dish with puff pastry, forming the sides. There is no need to lubricate it, because the dough contains a fairly large portion of fat. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Pour the prepared filling onto the dough and gently distribute. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 35 minutes, observing the baking surface.
