It seems to me that there is not a single person among my acquaintances who would not know tartar sauce. Of course, everyone buys it ready-made, it's easier than trying to make it yourself. Did you know that it takes a few minutes to make a delicious homemade tartar sauce, especially if all the ingredients are prepared in advance? If you cook it yourself at least once, you will never buy it again.

Ingredients:

Lean oil - 50 g

Raw egg yolk - 1 pc.

Boiled egg yolk - 1 pc.

Pickled gherkins - 30 g

Salted capers - 15 g

Dijon mustard - 1 tsp

Thick sour cream - 1 tbsp.

Salt to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Dill - a few twigs

How to cook:

Prepare all the ingredients you need to make a classic tartar sauce at home. Wash the dill, dry it.

Put the boiled yolk in a deep bowl, rub it with a fork or whisk. Add raw chicken yolk. Of course, the eggs should be from homemade chicken, if you are not sure about their quality or fundamentally do not eat them, then you can use two boiled yolks, this is acceptable. Grind the mixture until smooth.

Add a heaping teaspoon of Dijon mustard. Continue whisking the sauce.

Slowly start pouring in refined lean oil and lemon juice. Whisk the sauce with vigorous movements, it will begin to thicken and become a velvety texture before your eyes. It will look very similar to mayonnaise in appearance.

Now add a tablespoon of delicious thick sour cream. Beat everything again until smooth.

Chop gherkins or simply pickled cucumbers very finely. Chop the capers and fresh dill. Put all these ingredients in a bowl, pepper and stir.

Put the tartare in the refrigerator until serving for at least 30 minutes, and after a while taste it. Capers and cucumbers will give their salt to the sauce, then it will already be clear whether you need to salt it.

Homemade French tartar sauce is ready. Transfer it to special bowls and serve as a seasoning for fish or vegetables. You can make delicious sandwiches with it.
