Do you want to get a delicious, aromatic drink that will please the whole family? Then prepare a vitamin compote from raspberries and currants. They are perfectly combined with each other and create a harmony of taste.

Such a drink can be brewed not only in the berry season, but also in winter, using frozen currants and raspberries for this. All components of the compote are natural and healthy, so it can be consumed by both children and adults, unlike store-bought carbonated drinks. If desired, sugar is replaced with honey. But then the sweetener is added just before serving into the cooled liquid.

Raspberries - 50 g

Currant - 100 g

Sugar - 3 tablespoons

Water - 500 ml.

Prepare the food listed for the recipe. If you cook compote in the summer, you need to sort out the berries, throw away the spoiled and unripe ones, then put them in a colander and rinse under a light stream of cool water. In winter, use blanks from the freezer. As a rule, they are already completely ready for use, so you don't even need to defrost them.

Send currants with raspberries to a saucepan or small saucepan and add granulated sugar. The ratio of berries can be adjusted independently. To get a more pronounced currant flavor, I added a little more of it. As for sugar, the amount of it will also depend on the berries, namely, how sour or sweet they are.

Pour the contents of the saucepan with clean water and send it to the stove, turning on maximum heat. Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for about 10-15 minutes, until the berries completely settle to the bottom - this is the main sign that the compote is ready.

During this time, it will acquire a bright color, rich taste and aroma. Remove the sample from the drink and add more sugar if necessary. Leave it at room temperature until it cools completely. Then pour into a jug and send to the refrigerator, and you can offer the children a warm version of this drink.
